The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) (abbreviated as NECC) is jointly constructed by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Invested in, built, and operated by the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., this national exhibition project serves as a comprehensive platform anchored in the Yangtze River Delta region, catering to the entire nation and reaching the global stage. It drives China's industrial restructuring, facilitates the transformation of economic development patterns, and supports the steady and healthy growth of China's economy and society. With a total floor area of 1.55 million square meters, including 1.35 million square meters above ground, the National Exhibition and Convention Center stands as the world's largest single building and exhibition complex.
The National Exhibition and Convention Center offers nearly 600,000 square meters of exhibition space, comprising approximately 500,000 square meters of indoor exhibition halls and 100,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition grounds. The indoor exhibition halls consist of 15 large halls, each with an area of nearly 30,000 square meters, and 2 smaller halls, each with an area of 10,000 square meters, comprehensively meeting the exhibition hall requirements for large, medium, and small-scale events.
